Professional Experience:
Charles Aznavour – the prominent singer, composer, actor and public figure.

Charles Aznavour was actively engages in years-long actions and worldwide events supporting Armenia.

After 1988 devastating earthquake in Armenia, Charles Aznavour established «Aznavour for Armenia» foundation, which greatly contributed to the reconstruction of earthquake area. The song – appeal «For you Armenia» with the participation of eminent international singers has become a symbol of World’s efforts to help Armenia in the aftermath of the earthquake.

He has been organizing dozens concerts worldwide in support of Armenia.

The latest events were organized in September 2006, on the Yerevan’s Republic Square with participation of 100.000 spectators and at the Opera Garnier in Paris in February 2007.

Since October 1, 1995 - Armenian Ambassador to the UNESCO


Since June 26, 2009 - Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva,

Since June 30, 2009 - Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Switzerland

1997 – Officer of the Legion d’Honneur, France

2004 - National Hero of the Republic of Armenia
